Introduction to Sociology/Economy/Hyeon Jik Kim

1. Summarize

In this page, various things related to economy are written. Like the ones we've read so far, this page contains a history of the economy. And it is written about capitalism and socialism, which can be called the recent economic forms. In socialism and capitalism, each concept, history, and limits are written. In addition, there are also ways to measure economic figures.

2. Interesting

Until I read this article, I thought that socialism was simply an economic system in which the nation controlled everything. However, as shown on this page, "Socialism is not a concrete philosophy of fixed doctrine and program" Sometimes complete nationalization can take place, Sometimes, nationalization can be achieved only in the market economy. It was interesting to me that socialism could be variable.

3. Concern

At present, our nation can be called capitalist society. The problem of the gap between the rich and the poor in Korea is serious.
The basic recipient problem introduced in the news.

In order to solve this gap between rich and poor, how should we try to solve the problem? Could the gap between the rich and the poor be reduced by using nation control used in the socialist way? Or, as the economic model has changed, Will a new economic model emerge to solve the problems now? Although we can not give an answer because we are not economists, I hope that problems such as the gap between rich and poor will disappear as soon as possible.

Comments

  1. I also feel empathy and sorrow this reality. But, although I am not an economist, I think the gap between rich and poor will continue forever. In capitalism, people pursue themselves interest. And socialism pursue equality but still economic classes exist. So, I think as long as the selfish nature of human nature doesn't disappear, this gap will be maintained even if any new economic models emerge. Only the welfare system of the nation will narrow the gap, the gap can not be completely dispelled.

  2. I think because of capitalism system, it is inevitable problem that capitalism cause competing system, so there must be dropouts that lost competition. So I think it's
chronic problem in this capitalism system, government's intervention is also important,
but we should be think our community rather than fall into individualism. It's not easy to us living in capitalism, but when we think our neighbor and help neighbor, the unfair wealth of rich will probably little bit decrease. so little bit.
