Why are families changing?
Compared to the
past, the form of the family has become very diverse at present and the form is
continuously changing. The reason is that society has developed, including
technical factors. And there are cultural factors such as individualism
expansion and improvement of women status. For example, as a result of frequent
exchanges with other countries, multicultural families were created. And as
individualism is expanded, the nuclear family is becoming more important than
the extended family. As
women's status expanded and women became more economical, many single-parent
households were born. Even in a changing culture, homosexual marriage is
legalized and homosexual couples are born in some countries. As our society
continues to develop and change, the shape of the family will continue to
change.
