Introduction to Sociology/Demography/Sujin LEE

1. Summary

Demography is the statistical study about human. It includes a study of demographic, scale, distribution and composition, birth, death, migration, and social mobility. The central interest in demographic studies is to establish a reliable measure about the overall population count, birthrate, marriage and death rates.

2. Interesting Point

I learned about why demographic is needed. I also learned how demographic statistics use in sociology. I wish I could learn more about demographic studies in the future.

3. Discussion point

Sociological phenomena are always changing. However, it would be very difficult to change statistics and to change social theories every time. So, how many years does social statistics have to happen once again?
