Introduction to Sociology/Demography/Seungyeon Yang

1)
Demography is the study of how the population size varies over time. Therefore, it is closely related to the city. Urbanization is the phenomenon that people move from country to urban.  In addition, the UN predicts that half of the world's population will live in the city at the end of 2008. People want to immigrate to the city and improve their economic and cultural standard of living. As people flocked to the city, there were additional phenomena such as urban heat island and fortress effect. I found out that the survey of demography was carried out with a political purpose.

2)
It was also interesting that there were a lot of things to consider when paying for demographic statistics. While various factors (like the birth control pills) were interesting, however the outlook for women's education was surprised.

3)
There is a view that women's education is related to fertility rates.
So, do you think women should give up their high educational standards for the birth rate?

If the birth rate and the high education levels of women can coexist, what is the method?
