1. Summary
Aging is a biological and social process.
As we live, we experience many complex changes.
Based on these changes, human life is divided into various age spans.
For example, there are the following: Infancy, Toddler, Childhood, Adolescence, Young adult, Prime adulthood, Middle age, Old age.
The way of interpreting aging is very different for each society.
People spend a lot of money trying to look like the age they feel they want, and society thinks positively.
Ageism is prejudice on the grounds of age.
The young and the elderly are most often targeted.
Also, the income varies with age.
Social Security is complementing it but recently has financial difficulties.
Generally, older women experience more financial difficulties than men.
This is a special concern when considering that women live longer than men.
2. new, interesting, or unusual items learned.
The Aging and Health part was the most impressive and memorable.
To maintain good health in old age, it is helpful to maintain a positive attitude.
A person who maintains a positive attitude is less risky and less stressed.
3. Discussion
How are the elderly typically depicted in movies and on TV? Why?
On TV,usually the elderly people have a nasty and inflexible personality, or they are very kind, warm and wise. they appear only as one of two characters.
The elderly appear to be of two kinds, not of different kinds.
This is included in Ageism towards the elderly.
