A : I think the declining fertility rate had a big impact on the age disparity. There are many people who have already been born, but there are fewer people born recently, so age disparity seems to occur.
Q : How can we explain this?
A : Recent marriages, unlike the past, regard each other's values as important. Therefore, even though the nationality of oneself and others is different, marriage seems to have affected the increasing trend of international marriage if their values are similar. The reason why international marriage of Korean men is more important than international marriage of Korean women is that men are less constrained by myths than women in Korean society. Women will prefer domestic marriage, rather than international marriage, because of the myth that restricts them. This is why I think that the rate of international marriage of Korean men is high.
