There was a demonstration against the placement of the THAAD missiles. There are several reasons why residents disagree. First of all, the THAAD missiles are ineffective against North Korea's missile defense. Even though it is not the THAAD, it already has its own defence system. Security threats rise and relations with neighboring countries worsen. The electromagnetic wave from the THAAD also worsens the health of the residents.
