Summary)

Race is the physical difference of humans. Classification of races is rooted in human biological concepts according to morphological characteristics such as skin color and facial characteristics. On the other hand, Ethnicity refer not to physical characteristics but to social characteristics shared by mankind. Ethnic classifications include nationality, tribalism, religious beliefs, shared language and culture.
Prejudice generally represents a negative view of an individual or group of individuals based on social stereotypes. It is important to remember that prejudice is a belief and can not be interpreted as discrimination. Prejudice can lead to discrimination, but the two concepts are separate concepts. Opinions and beliefs are not prejudgment but postjudgment. Bias is a one-sided property. This bias can evolve through a clear negative interaction with a group of stereotypes.
Racial discrimination is recognized by many as an insult to fundamental human dignity and human rights violations. There are several kinds of racism. First, racism at the individual level is a prejudice, bias or discrimination that occurs when two or more people interact. Second, structural racism refers to inequalities embedded in an organization or system. Cultural racism occurs when inferior assumptions about one or more races are built into social culture. Historical economic or social inequality is a form of inequality caused by racial discrimination of the past generation. Another type of racism is racial profiling. An ethnic profile is the selection of individuals for racial treatment. The new racist color-blind racism has pointed out that it supports racism, avoiding references to racial discrimination. A powerful tool in our current era of Color Blind Racism is to portray ethnic minorities through media.
In other words, different forms of racism are still widespread today due to inequalities found in so many aspects of society that persist in racial discrimination.

New/Interesting things I learned)

I knew that racism was socially widespread, but I did not know that it was so diverse that it was interesting to learn about the different forms of racism. The concept of color racism, especially the new racism, was interesting. It was interesting to note that racial discrimination was supported while avoiding references to racial discrimination.
It was also interesting that those who advocate racial use in biomedical research insisted that neglecting race was harmful to the health of minority groups. They have argued that the risk factors for illness vary widely among ethnic groups. I learned that race is clearly associated with discriminatory disease susceptibility. It was also interesting that a table showing diseases of different frequencies depending on race or ethnicity. I realized that the risk of disease was different according to genetic factors and race, and I realized that race should not be completely ignored. So I came to realize that genetic differences in race should be acknowledged and considered but not discriminatory.

Currently, our society is a global society and many people live together. But racism is still happening, and controversy is happening. One of the most controversial examples of racial discrimination is the Colombian media "La Kalle". On the 10th, Colombia was defeated by South Korea in the Colombian soccer match between Korea and Colombia, and the Colombian media repeated the ridicule of Asian people by ridiculing or tearing eyes by using a distorted face of an Asian face. The broadcast went to the side of racial discrimination, following the controversy, rather than condemning the controversial Kardona's actions. The netizens of Korea showed it very uncomfortable. The above examples are not the only examples of racial discrimination. There are a lot of people who look at the internet a little bit but have a gesture of tearing their eyes and pretending to be Asians or shouting black people. How should we solve such widespread racism? I would like to discuss the reasons why we should not discriminate against the Colombian media considering our uncomfortable feelings and how to solve this problem.
