Introduction to Sociology/The Causes of wars/Heechan Kim

1.summary

This article analyzed the reasons for the war in various perspectives. Historians tend to view war as an accident rather than a logical reason. Among the various theories, psychological theory sees the cause of war as human nature, but it is receiving various criticisms. According to anthropological theories, war is a subculture that can be improved. Sociological theory was interested in the origins of war and tried to predict the future by investigating, but most failed. Information theory is the lack of information due to war. If each country knew exactly the damage to the war, it would have avoided the war. Economic theory sees literally the cause of war as competition from resources in scarcity. Marxist theory believes that war is caused by class struggles and that it can break through this class through revolution.

2.interesting point

The most interesting point in reading this article is information theory. We all agree that we live in an information society. According to this theory, a lot of wars have happened in the past because they do not know exactly the information about the gains and losses of war. Then it is questionable whether the war will really take place in this information age. I think it will be an information war, not a physical war.

3.discussion

Are there any other causes of the war that you think other than the theories in this article? It is not too logical and it is good if it is creative.
