1. SUMMARY
Race is a biological classification, like skin color and facial features. On the other hand, ethnicity are related to race, but not physical characteristics, but rather social characteristics. Thus, the social characteristics sorting out ethnicity includes nationalities, religious beliefs, shared language, and shared culture. The term 'race' connects with the past's recognition.
The definition of races continues to change. The reason why race's definition is changing is because racism is treated as a social and political issue. For this reason, the United States has various racial classifications from the outset, but according to the timing of the race, racial classifications are increasing or even stems. Depending on the country, racial discrimination is different, for example, Africans who just borned in Africa are Africans, but Europeans should have a completely white ancestry. Americans have brought blacks to slavery after failing to enslave the Native Americans, which is why African-Americans are concentrated in the southern United States. Brazil also has a variety of racial traits according to the skin color : White, Pardo or Brown, Black, Yellow, and Indigenous. In Brazil, it is interesting that there is a distinction between white and black called pardo or brown.
Racism includes all kinds of people who think that certain species are superior or inferior to others and should be treated differently. Racism has not only been personal, but it has been made up of structure, culture, and historical history. That is, despite it just racial differences, it is necessary to endure personal hardships and resist structural discrimination, cultural discrimination, and historical discrimination. Minorities mean not just small numbers, but they are disadvantaged or less lower than others. Racism for ethnic minorities has occasionally been used as a formal government policy for many countries.
2. what was interesting
The difference between Prejudice, Bias, and Discrimination was the most interesting thing to explain yet. Until then, I just guess the three words have roughly different meaning, but I did not know the exact difference. In particular, the three words related to race were forced to affects classifying and recognizing races.
3. Discussion
I am tired of breaking standards against racial discrimination and discrimination for just small things. Surely racism and sexism are wrong, wouldn't it be rather stressful and counterproductive to just criticize the way it is wrong, not to let them know it?
Of course, I agree with you it's wrong that the person who does not know well the problem but blindly express discomfort about problem. But in my opinion, suspicious attitude will be important that change our world 's fixed idea or bias.
