Introduction to Sociology/Family/Seo Jeong Woo

1.summary
This document relate to family definition and family function and family life cycle.
It also refers to Unequal issues related to family problems and the evolution of family history over time.

2.new/interesting
before see this document, I didn't know the characteristics of gay families, but it was amazing to know about the gay couple's character (age, Divorce) in same-sex unions category.
And I felt sympathy for the situation that I thought was similar to the situation in Korea where people didn`t get married to a couple of households in order to avoid paying high taxes.
Also, in religious categories, it was quite surprising to know that about only 10 to 15 percent of American women and 20-25 percent of male have extramarital sex.
Prior to seeing the data, I thought that was open mind of sex in America, so I thought people had a lot of sex than other countries.

3.discussion
In Korea, we can see a decrease in the number of families with a traditional concept and a growing number of families,
such as a nuclear family or two households, and I want to hear people's opinions about how guys think about it.

Comments

  1. I think it is natural for traditional furniture to disappear. Because our society developed individualistic tendencies as technology developed and culture changed. So now people in our society prefer the nuclear family rather than the extended family. There are many things to learn in traditional homes, but I also prefer the nuclear family.
