1.     Summary

This writing talks about conflict theory. There are several assumptions in conflict theory. It involves interaction, change, competition, structural inequality, degree of inequality, and revolution. Social conflict theory uses several key terms. It includes Class conflict, social class, deviance, proletariat, and ideology. The proponents of conflict theory refer to various propositions. It includes world system theory, female conflict theory and so on. If we look at the history of conflict theory, we can see that the basis of conflict theory started from early philosophy. It starts with it and the theory of conflict goes so far with the proposition of various people. There are various examples of conflict theory at present. It includes Social Stratification, Wealth and Power Inequality, Drug Abuse and Crime, and so on.

 

2.     Interesting point

I have always been interested in conflict theory This article explains conflict theory in detail. I was glad to know what I was usually wondering about. I was surprised at the number of terms and suggestions for conflict theory. Modern examples of conflict theory are also very interesting. Especially I read Drug Abuse and Crime most interestingly. I would like to learn more about other examples of conflict theory.

According to this article, the sociologist Gumplowicz says "Societies evolve out of war and conquest resulting in the development of nation-states and unequal systems with master and slave relationships." Do you agree or disagree with this statement? And why? I wonder what you think.

  1. I don't quite agree, but I admit it somewhat. Because I thinks that people steal and stolen capital through wars.
