1. Summary

Race is classified by skin color, facial characteristics, and so on. It is not an individual based on his identity but an external classification. Scientists have made three claims about race. First, race is a spontaneous division. Second, it is a human phenomenon different from the biological species. Finally, it is a scientific category that can be used to explain and predict individual and group behavior. On the other hand, people refer to social characteristics that are related to races but are not physical characteristics but shared by human beings.

  Discrimination can also occur with race. Racial discrimination is the basic human dignity and human rights violations. Racism is the prejudice and discrimination that occurs when two individuals interact at an individual level. In addition, racial discrimination can also occur structurally. This means discrimination against racial stereotypes embedded in organizations or systems. Racism also arises from a cultural and historical point of view.

 

2. New learning / What was interesting

I have found that the scope or perspective of racial discrimination is diverse. I learned that it is not just discrimination, but it can be personal or structural. We also learned that we can share racial discrimination both culturally and historically. After I learned such a theory, I came to think about racism that I already knew. It was thought that racial discrimination could be explained in small part because it is derived from individuals and individuals and affects many parts of society. And such a reality was sad.

 

3. Discussion

All people are equal and all human rights should be respected. Nevertheless, I cannot understand the discrimination that arises from the natural occurrence of race. I want to talk about the source of this incomprehensible discrimination. I ‘ve known that racial discrimination is continuing to this day because of previous slavery roads. I would like to hear your thoughts on additional content or the source of such discrimination.
