Korea is becoming
a multi-ethnic group. Because now our society is global age and we are living
with people of various nationalities. There are many foreign workers and
international marriages are increasing. So I think Korea is becoming a
multi-ethnic group.
Q. Which form of
nationalism is more common in Korea?
A. I think ethnic
nationalism is more common in Korea. Because Korea tends to target the
formation of a nation based on the nation. And I think that only when the
nation becomes a 'national nation' in the true sense, the people become
attached to the nation and become proud. So ethnic nationalism is more common
in the country.

Today there is
something in Myanmar that can be called ethnic cleansing. The Myanmar
government, which was independent from Britain in 1948, began to oppress the
Rohingyas who believed in Islam. There has also been suppression of the
Rohingya to prevent population growth. Persecution has continued and in 2012
serious bloodsheds have occurred in the Rohingya and Myanmar people. So 200 of
the Rohingya died and 140,000 people left Myanmar.
