1-1. Politics?
Let 's look at the' country 'as a person. Just as man has a variety of elements for move, the country also has various elements to move. First, like water that constitutes a human body, money must flow well to move the country. Second, just as people use their hands and feet as a means of moving, the country also uses the labor force to move. Then, finally, what is the most important part of the decision making agency? In the case of humans, brain makes decisions to act. In a similar vein, The decision to move the country mainly comes from politics. In this section, we will explain politics, a key driving force for moving the country.
Politics is the process by which a group makes socio-economic decisions. This is observed in all human group interactions. Also, politics consists of the methods and tactics used in social relations, the regulation of political units, and the formulation and application of social policies.
Politics has three components. This is power, authority, and violence. Among these, there are three types of authority that Max Weber identified and distinguished. First, legitimate legal authority. A good example of this type of authority is the US President. Second, the authority of tradition. A good example of this is king of Saudi Arabia Abdul al-Saud, which the monarch country from long times. Third, charismatic authority. Its example is often seen in the founders of religious organizations. Because the essence of this authority comes from the fact that it comes from power(Ex. God) that is superior to orthodoxy and validity.
1-2. Government
In politics there is a "government" to deal with this more effectively. There are various types of government in the government, such as monarchy, democracy, totalitarianism, oligarchy, communism, theocratic government.
Monarchy
-This was a common form of government from ancient times to the Middle Ages. This leader of the political system was called a monarch. In monarchy, monarch has nominal power, or absolute power, until it dies.
Democracy
-In democracy it is often said that a person is a country. As can see, democracy is a form of government in which people have sovereignty. This government form weighs relatively more on freedom.
Totalitarianism
-When democracy weighs on individuals and freedom, totalitarianism tends to prioritize society over individuals. This enhances safety by increasing control through rigorous surveillance. But this also means freedom is suppressed.
Oligarchy
-The oligarchy is a form of government in which a small number of elites have the power and wealth to monopolize the inferiority group.
Communist State
-The principle of Communist Party's single-party rule is characteristic of communism. It has the idea of eliminating the car of the rich through the denial of the private property system and the realization of the shared property system.
Theocracy
-God's agent is the form of government with the highest authority.
In addition to this, there is a party system that can acquire and maintain political power of government by participating in election campaign. Voting is a key factor in this system but there is inequality in the voting. The kind of inequality varies including age, race and gender.
2. Democracy of Korea
Korea, which we live in, is a democratic country that has been created according to our will. The official name is Republic of Korea. In other words, this is democracy + republic. The democratic republic is based on the fact that the people are the owners of the country. In any event, the king of the Republic is eventually elected by the hands of the people. This king does not have the authority to dictate arbitrarily. However, sometimes a few privileged people control the character of the country. Or it conceals the risks associated with this. These are called anti-democratic republican actions.
For these reasons we think that we should always have a sense of crisis even if we live in democracy of liberty. Or, I think it is worth considering the time of the moment that we are currently in the shape of the '6th Republic'
Is can there a reasonable amount of time and trust in our system to harmony with our chosen leader?

ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see that the contents of the article were well organized with subtitle. It was also nice to think about the dangers in a democratic country. The king does not have the authority to arbitrarily dictate, but sometimes the privilege of a small number of people to control the characteristics of the country has become synonymous with the many corruptions that have arisen in the Republic of Korea where I live.
I understand what you're saying. There was a lot of corruption in Korea especially when the government was set up. This has been solved through the amendment of the Constitution and the way in which the means of governance are changed. But we can not build a new republic more. I think we should look for a way to prevent this in the first place. Could we get something from a foreign or historical example?
DeleteI also empathized about your opinion when I experienced choi-soon sil gate scandal.
ReplyDeleteSo I thought that time, even though our country is democratic country, we must feel a urgency about our politics and keep an interest about our government. If we won't do that, we probably lose our control by a the minority that have authority. Even though our government change, we should keep our eyes on government and have an attitude that cricticize government's wrong.
The attitude of criticizing the government's fault, this is very important. This sometimes brings sacrifice, but we should not lose our courage.
