Introduction to sociology / Politics / Jaehyeon Seo

1. Summary

The process of making social and economic decisions is called ' Politics'. In addition to the civil governments, politics appears in every group where people gather namely all social relationships. Engaging participation in politics is called political parties by participating in electoral campaigns. Speaking of American political parties, American political parties are divided into the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. American political parties have no concept of ' registration'. The fact that he supports one's position alone makes him a member of the party. Party identification are formalized when a party member is running. Therefore, people can freely walk between two parties.

2. What was interesting/What did you learn

It is interesting that political activity is observed everywhere, even if power does not necessarily exist. Because politics is a socio-economic decision, it appears in every human group interaction. Thus, even though power does not exist, political activity can be seen.

3. Discussion Point

According to the text, young people are much less likely to vote. Young people certainly don't vote very much when we see the actual voting rate. People who have to live in the future are young people, but why do young people vote less? Although it is wrong, I think that political skepticism is one of the reasons.
