Shadows of religion shielded by light
Characteristics of Religion in Conflict Theory
Religion is representative of four major religions: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. In addition, there are countless religions in the world, including Judaism. The text was centered on Christianity.
- Perspective of Religion as Sociology
Sociologists have looked at religion as diverse as functionalism, conflict theory, pluralism, fundamentalism. First, from a functional point of view, Emile Durkheim argues that the church contributes positively to social integration. There is a tendency to look at the church positively from a purely functional perspective. On the other hand, the theory of conflict is a bourgeois tool to defend the proletariat according to Marx's claim. In other words, the conflict theory tends to view the church negatively as it plays an important role in maintaining society. The pluralism is the theory that all religions have the same goal that they ultimately aim for, even though they are different in appearance. Fundamentalism is forcing absolute truth. Typically, the fundamentalism that Christianity speaks is that the Bible is the divine world, which makes the Bible believed unconditionally.- Opium of nation, religion
As I
read the text, I seem to have more of a negative aspect of religion. There is
more to my common sense than the idea of the Hindu caste system, Islamic women's
discrimination, and Christian witch hunting. Therefore, I would like to
describe the negative aspect of religion based on conflict theory. Often a
Christian denomination tells people, "Repent, then God forgives you and
saves you." This is the means by which the bourgeois class uses the
working class. If you work as hard as you do now, you will live a second life
in heaven. But this
is a net pun. Does the real afterlife really give us a chance to be saved? Or
is it the opium of the nation that the bourgeoisie has created as a pun?
We can see the disadvantages of Christianity in Korea. In particular, as can be seen from the Korean Constitution, Article 20, paragraph 2, "Religion and Politics Should Be Separated" and "Religion and Politics Should Be Separated." One of the most representative examples is the Christian organization called Hankichong, a religious organization that was created for the purpose of politics during the Chun Doo Hwan government. If you do not choose a person named in the presidential election, you are forced to threaten to erase your name from the Bible. There are many cases where religion afflicts corruption in society by associating with politics.
- What do you think?
Is religion a light? Or is it a shadow?
-It is related to the Hankichong.
Is religion a light or a shadow? Your question is interesting.
ReplyDeleteIf you divide religion into light and darkness, what sort of classification will you do?
I think the light of religion is comes from difference of daily life through faith and holiness. and I think this is a functions as a pure function of religion. of course, This was one of the standards of religious justice.
But from a variety of perspectives, I think the dark part of religion is in more high
concentration .
From a functional point of view, religion contributes to the solidarity and integration of society. At the same time, however, this takes the same meaning as the control over the group. There is also the possibility that religion may play a role of 'shadow', especially if the direction of this control is wrong. The witch hunt you talked about would mean this role.
