I think going to school’s manifest and latent function is Socialization, not studying lecture. School is a microcosm of society. In other words, school is a place to learn how to be social. This function corresponds to all the educational institutions from elementary school to university. In elementary school, children learn the base of how to hang out with their friends by getting punishment when they act out of order, making friends. They graduate elementary school and go to middle school, high school. In this educational facilities, people learn how to collaborate, how to deal with conflicts and competition by competition for entrance examinations. The point of going to school is living with their peers. Because of previously mentioned things are students learn themselves by staying together in a classroom with peers. In conclusion, how relate to others is most manifest and latent.
