Q. How can we explain family with a conflict theory? Where is conflict in the family?

A. I think about my family, most of my family's conflict is coming from my dad's patriarchal thoughts. For example, My dad once told me that women and men are basically different, so there is a different proper job for each of them. My sisters and I disagree with that, so we usually have arguments. I think that also can be applied to other families. The world is changing. And compared to the old days, more girls know that we're living in the unequal world. But most of the fathers don't want to change. They want to live in a patriarchal family because they feel comfortable in that.
