Introduction to Sociology/Culture/GeonwooLee
1. summary
This text refers to culture. At the beginning of the article, I first talk about culture, illustrating the cultural differences between the United States and India, looking at cows. Then we can not just define who we are by biological characteristics. So, I explained that we need cultural help. The cultures mentioned here are all part of the culture that human beings acquire. Also, culture is constantly changing, not static, and has characteristics that can easily spread to other cultures. But there are features that can be easily spread, but cultural relativism can arise in this part. An example is that the language of the A culture is not translated correctly into the language of the B culture.
2.interesting
I was impressed that I can not define myself without culture. When you see naked pictures, you can hardly know the information about this person, but if you look at the clothes or the surrounding environment, you can find out where this person is from. And nowadays, because the world is connected with the media, the culture of each other is merging, so it is not possible to define one culture by thinking about people.
3.discussion point
Without culture, people can not be defined. There are different characteristics for each culture, and there are different externalities. See the cultural characteristics of a person and define and distinguish the person. Is the way in which people are defined in this area also culturally different? If it does, does not it have to be compared? What do you think?
I agree with your opinion that people can not be defined without culture. Because every culture has their own features. So we can find the person about whose hometown, nationality through the cultural features.
