1.
Summary
The story begins with the perception of the differences between the
American and Indian cattle in terms of culture. Biological nature doesn’t
determine who we are. It is culture that determines who we are. Culture has a
social aspect and includes the concept of acquired behavior. It also has the
characteristics to differentiate one society from another. Lastly, culture is
not uniform and not stable.
2. New/Interesting things I learned
I rethink definition of subcultures. I think subcultures is a pop
culture. But in this article, subcultures tend to be slightly broader or
radically different. I also knew that a fan club was involved in subcultures,
but I did not know that it contained military culture. I realized the
difference between what I thought and the fact. And It was an opportunity to
add knowledge.
3. Discussion point
I agree Influence of culture on society. I think culture is a
necessary part of society because it is a big part of society. But, I don’t
understand that culture determines who we are. I just think the culture helps
me complete a little more. I admit that culture is a necessary part of human
beings. But I don't understand that culture influences decisions. I wonder
culture influences decisions in which field.
I agree with you, but there are several cases where culture influences the decision. For example, in Japanese culture, holding bowls while eating is a table manners. On the other hand, it is considered rude to hold bowls while eating in Korean culture.
