I think that most companies in Korea tend to prefer the science majors to the social majors.    Previous data mentioned that the company hire a lot of sociology majors. But I am questionable  whether it can be applicated in Korea employment market. At the same time, I would like to discuss  about factors that to develop the sociology study in Korea Society.

  2. Since Korea society developed on the basis of semiconductor industry and heavy industry, corporations naturally prefer engineering majors. Therefore a foreign case is difficult to be applied in Korea job market.
Recently, importance of humanities comes to the fore and corporations want talented people who combined engineering knowledge and humanistic knowledge. I think that this phenomenon will be opportunity that Sociology majors can use their ability in Korea society.
