WIKIBOOKS-sociological theory says sociological theory concept and some well-known theory. Through Putnam’s sociological theory, understand its purpose. It present more than two concept were related social phenomena. So we can grasp cause-effect relationship or explain some sociological case. Although some sociological theory contrary others, there is no right answer.

In here, some famous theory is introduced like Structural-Functionalism, Conflict Theory, Feminist Theory and so on. Every theory has a purpose with assumptions to explain social phenomena. However, they also have limitation.

I can’t understand perfectly about this sociological theory, but at Conflict Theory, I newly knew Karl Marx is father of this theory and it is developed to explain limitation of Structural-Functionalism. Also I learned Feminist Theory is one of famous theory in sociological theory.

In Feminist theory, I think liberal feminism and socialist feminism assert gender equality, but socialist feminism argue to bring gender equality, eliminate capitalism and man priority system. So I’m wonder what is different ‘gender equality’ mean in both sides. Additionally, in page, recently some sociologist adopted integration Theory, so I want to know that Ritzer’s integrative theory have no limitation.
