Introduction to Sociology/Being a Sociologist / na kyung Lee

1. Summary

Many people think sociology has limitation of the occupational prospects.
But this document said that sociology is connected with lots of studies. And sociology majors are satisfied with their major. If sociology majors want to learn sociology more deeply, they can get Bachelor's degree and PhD degree. Also, sociology majors can apply their major to various tasks like corporate world or NGO.

2. What was interesting / What did you learn

In fact, as a sociology major, I was worried about getting a job.
But this document relieves my concern. Because this paper said that sociology majors can get different kinds of jobs and sociology can apply various tasks.
So I'm very glad to learn about that sociology is a multidisciplinary study.

 

3. Discussion point

I relieved that sociology can apply to lots of work.
But I wonder about this document's result can apply to Korea Society. And I want to know how sociology can related with other studies.
